Artifact: Collage of photographs when attending the NYSAHPERD and SUNY Cortland Mini Conferences in 2011.

Element: 6.2

Date: November 18th, 2011

Reflection: This artifact is a photo collage I created from both the NYSAHPERD Conference in Turning Stone, NY as well as the SUNY Cortland Physical Education Mini-Conference. This artifact demonstrates my ability to meet standard 6 by showing my experiences at these conferences and the cognitive development of my profession. I attended many sessions ranging from the Exergaming lab hosted by Dr. Yang to cultural dances that are motivating and relative to physical and healthy performances. During my three days at the conference, I was able to enhance my personal growth through networking and collaboration with professionals. I was able to meet: physical educators, companies, distributors, and health care professionals. This artifact is important to my development as a professional educator because it demonstrates my ability to network with professionals in many different areas of activity and health. The ability to network with other physical educators and distributors allows for influential knowledge that could be distributed to the school in which I am employed at.
